With design of the Company's new logo complete, WEIT Marketing was engaged to drive the new corporate identity into SmartPill's second-generation Website, design of which had begun months earlier.

We conducted a requirements analysis, established a site outline and project plan, and got to work moving the Website creative into convergence with the new corporate identity; not an easy task given the advanced state of the Website project - well into the second generation of look and feel mock ups.   • quickly established effective working relations with the Baltimore-based Web designer, and maintained those relations throughout the project
  • worked with the Client and Web designer to realign the Website requirements, site outline and creative guidelines
  • managed the project and the Web designer
  • pulled together and edited existing content, and created nearly all of the new content needed

Having led the logo design project, WEIT Marketing was called upon to substantively contribute to the homepage and secondary-level page layouts and designs.

The Result

All of the objectives of the Website project were achieved. The resulting site:

  • reinforced the Client's new identity represented a highly scalable and easily maintained information delivery platform
  • provided extensive product (technology and applications) information
  • allowed investors, customers, partners and prospective employees to satisfy and express their interests
  • pushed headline news and event information to the homepage
  • enabled visitors to opt-in to a news mailing list
  • featured intrasite links throughout the site that allowed visitors to leap to content of interest

The Client

SmartPill Diagnostics (now The SmartPill Corporation) develops and manufactures ingestible, capsule-based medical devices that aid in the diagnosis, definition, and therapeutic intervention of gastrointestinal disorders and diseases.
